Science magazine featured the recent findings of Hwang Woo-suk’s stem cell research team as the cover story of its June 17th edition.

The edition's cover features a green moon, which symbolizes cellular nuclear transfer for the purpose of culturing embryonic stem cells, and bamboo branches, which stand for stem cells obtained from patients with incurable diseases.

Last month, the research team led by the Seoul National University professor released a groundbreaking thesis on stem cell research through the preeminent science journal.
