A small South Korean company has introduced the world’s first nano-bio diagnostic sensors at the International InfoCom Expo in Las Vegas.
Planet82 Inc. recently notched a world's first by developing high-tech medical sensors based on nano-technology. The sensor can diagnose skin cancer and other diseases while calculating the degree of aging of the examinee's skin.
The diagnostic sensor works by transmitting light through the skin and analyzing the light wave data. It makes possible the early diagnosis of disease without invasive methods.
The Korea Electronics Technology Institute developed the technology for the sensors, which were eventually produced by Planet82 Inc. After the InfoCom Expo, it will apply for approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The nano-bio sensors will be available on domestic and overseas medical markets in July.
