The national youth soccer team needs at least a tie against Nigeria Wednesday to stay alive in the FIFA world championships.
The team needs four points and as many goals as it can score over its next two games in the Netherlands to have a chance at a wildcard spot in the second round.
After the team's 2-1 disappointing loss to Switzerland Sunday, coach Park Sung-hwa said he is stressing the gravity of the Nigeria game over South Korea's final group match against defending champion Brazil Saturday.
Park's team will scrap the 4-4-2 formation in favor of the offensive 4-3-3 scheme in a bid to score more, having also dabbled with the 3-4-1-2 scheme in the first game.
Drawing 0-0 in its opening game against Brazil, Nigeria is blessed with athletic players and strikers with exceptional dribbling, maneuvering and speed.
But five of its players received yellow cards in the game, thus Nigeria must use caution against South Korea to prevent any suspensions.
