The national soccer team returned home in triumph Friday morning, basking in its sixth consecutive berth for the World Cup - an Asian first.

Arriving at Incheon International Airport with 21 players in tow, coach Jo Bonfrere said he was extremely happy with the winning streak, calling it an honor only the world’s top players deserve.

Park Ji-sung, who was a stellar offensive presence in recent qualifiers, said he is happy over the berth, but the team should work harder to make up for its weaknesses.

Meanwhile, two young standouts, Park Ju-young and Kim Jun-gyu, flew to the Netherlands for the FIFA World Youth Championship.
