Pres. Roh Lauds Soccer Team's Win

President Roh Moo-hyun on Thursday sent a congratulatory telegram to the national soccer team for qualifying for the 2006 World Cup.
In his message, Roh said he and the people applaud the team for their huge achievement in advancing to the tournament for the sixth consecutive time, a first in Asia.
Roh also said he hopes the team will play well at next year’s World Cup.
The team beat host Kuwait 4-0 Wednesday in a qualifier to earn a ticket to the finals in Germany next year.
