FIFA has banned the broadcasting on large screens of the June 8th World Cup qualifier between North Korea and Japan in Bangkok.

Nikkan Sports on Tuesday said soccer's world governing body rejected the Thailand Football Association's request to air the game in public and sporting places outside the venue of Supachalasai National Stadium.

FIFA has also barred the expected tens of thousands of Japanese fans from the cheering squad Ultra Nippon and South Koreans from cheering for their teams on streets.

The match will have no spectators.
