The government and the Czech Republic will hold meetings of their joint science and technology committee every other year.

At the committee's inaugural meeting in Seoul Friday, the two sides agreed to alternately host the biennial meeting.

Since signing an agreement on science and technology cooperation in March 1995, both countries have steadily sought to cooperate in the sector.

They also agreed to hold working-level talks when necessary.
