The nation's 13 gold medalists at last year's Athens Summer Olympics will become honorary citizens of the Greek capital.

The Korean Olympic Committee on Tuesday said a ceremony will take place Wednesday at its office.

Greek Ambassador Constantin Drakakis will present certificates to taekwondo competitor Moon Dae-seong, judoka Lee Won-hui, archer Park Seong-hyeon and other gold medalists.

Athens will confer honorary citizenship to every athlete who won gold during last year's games.
