Lee Chases Japan's Homer Streak

Slugger Lee Seung-yeop on Tuesday will try to tie the Japanese pro record for most consecutive games with a homer.

In his second year with the Lotte Chiba Marines, Lee has hit homers in five straight games. His ten homers this season is sixth in the Japanese league.

Lee set South Korea's mark of six straight games with a home run in July 1999. He also owns the Asian single-season homer record of 56.

May is a prime month for Lee, who hit a career monthly-high of 15 homers in May 2003.
