Former US Vice President Al Gore says South Korea's digital revolution is its second "communication" present to the world after the movable type.

At the Seoul Digital Forum Thursday, Gore expressed surprise over the IT development there and called the country's digital revolution yet another ground-breaking innovation in communication.

Johannes Gutenberg is credited with inventing the movable metal type, but Gore said it was actually brought to the West by a papal mission that visited Korea.
