Nation Goes for 8th Asian Baseball Crown

An amateur team will try to win the country's eighth Asian baseball title in Japan.
Comprised of university players, the team left for Japan Tuesday and will play Thailand in their opening game at Miyazaki Prefecture Friday.
Included with Taiwan and Thailand in group B, South Korea is expected to face Japan in the final Sunday.
The team's last title was in 1999 tournament.
The winning nation will represent Asia in the World Cup of baseball this fall.
