The national soccer team on Sunday beat Morocco, 1-0, in a preliminary match a month ahead of the FIFA World Youth Championships.

In Paju, Gyeonggi Province, Shin Young-rok's goal in the 58th minute won the game despite the absence of several pro players for South Korea.

The national team will head to Busan Thursday for the Parkland International Youth Soccer Championships opening May 21st.
