Attention is on who will fill the final two spots of the national soccer team.
Assistant team coach Lee Choon-seok on Thursday said the final selections may come after domestic pro games Sunday or May 18th, or not at all.
Head coach Jo Bonfrere watched Suwon Samsung crush Vietnam's Hoang Anh Gia Lai in the Asian Champions League six to nil Wednesay, and will attend the opening game of the K-League Sunday.
The final two spots are expected to go to defenders since the team only has five.
Another consideration is that Kim Doo-hyeon and Lee Young-pyo will receive one-suspensions if they are yellow carded again in the June 3rd World Cup qualifier with Uzbekistan.
Leading candidates for the two spots include the ailing Yoo Sang-chul, Kim Seong-geun, Kwak Hee-joo and Oh Beom-suk.
Leading candidate Choi Jin-chul of has announced his retirement from international play but could be persuaded to return. Bonfrere will watch him the Jeonbuk defender play against Seongnam Sunday.
Kwak has the recommendation of his Suwon Samsung coach and domestic soccer legend Cha Bum-keun.
Kim can remedy the team's weakness at right defender with his speed, stamina, power and experience.
Bonfrere also eyed Oh while the team trained in the United States, saying the player's abilities belie his inexperience
But most experts say Choi and Kim are the only two who can immediately contribute at the right defender position.
