The Kukkiwon, the headquarters of the World Taekwondo Federation, will release its first revised textbook in 18 years.

The Official Kukkiwon Taekwondo Textbook is fully revised and expanded after eight months of research by federation staff. It will come out in Korean and bilingual Korean-English versions on June 10th.

Federation research director Lee Jong-gwan said the new manual clearly shows each poomsae movement to avoid different interpretations.

The color photos in the new guide will also show top-flight instructors and students demonstrating techniques.

The federation is expected to use the guide in upcoming tournaments.
