The Japan Football Association says it will accept the hosting of a North Korea-Japan match in Thailand on June 8th, as proposed by FIFA, the world soccer governing body.

According to Japanese sports daily "Sports Nippon", association president Saburo Kawabuchi officially announced the JFA would not oppose Thailand as the site of the final Asian preliminary for the 2006 Germany Worldcup Games.

He was quoted as saying, "It doesn't really matter where it is held. There is no reason to be against doing it in Thailand."

Meanwhile, another sports daily, "Sankei Sports", reported that North Korea's football association is appealing to FIFA to reconsider the measure, but that no official complaint has been lodged.
