Park Ji-sung is the early favorite this year to win the Asian Football Confederation's top player award.

The online magazine Football Asia calls him Asia's leading player in Europe after his stellar performance in the Champions League semifinal.

His growing fame has also attracted interest from several major teams in England and Italy.

Now in his third year with PSV Eindhoven, Park has taken on more of the offensive load, scoring seven goals to lead his team to the Dutch league title.

Some wonder if Park is physically able to play in tougher European leagues, but Football Asia said he has the speed, technique and versatility to succeed with a bigger team.

The report said Park is said happy with PSV and plans to honor his contract, which expires in 18 months.
