Oh Sang-eun on Friday won South Korea's only medal at the World Table Tennis Championships in Shanghai.

Oh settled for the bronze after his semifinal loss to the world's top-ranked men's player, Wang Liqin of China.

Wang, playing in his hometown, took a commanding three sets to zero lead and eventually won in five sets.

Oh lost to Wang for the eighth time in nine matches.
