Hwang Seen as Nobel Contender

Cloning pioneer Hwang Woo-seok is the leading candidate to win the country's first Nobel Prize for science.

The Korea Science Foundation on Monday said its poll of three hundred-60 scientists nationwide showed Hwang as the most likely to win.

The Seoul National University professor last year achieved a global first by successfully extracting stem cells from a cloned human embryo.
