North Korea will likely allow up to three thousand Japanese fans for the June 8th World Cup soccer qualifier in Pyongyang.

NHK said Sunday that Chongryeon, a pro-North Korea association of ethnic Korean residents in Japan, will handle visa matters for Japanese spectators along with travel agents specializing in tours of the North.

Meanwhile, soccer's world governing body FIFA will decide Friday what punishment to take against the North for the crowd violence in a game with Iran in late March.

FIFA may ban North Korean fans from attending the June 8th match.
