Marquis Who's Who directories have listed a local academic for the third straight year.

Nam Taek-jung, a food and life sciences professor at Bugyeong National University in Busan, was mentioned in the 23rd guide this year. He was also listed in the fifth edition of the medicine and healthcare guide and in the eighth edition of the engineering volume.

The 52-year-old Nam was noted for his research on insulin like growth factor.
