PSV Eindhoven, under former South Korea coach Guus Hiddink, has advanced to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

In the second leg of its quarterfinal versus Lyon of France, the Dutch team played to a 1-1 tie in regulation, but won its first semi-final berth in 17 years after taking the penalty shootout, 4-2.

PSV midfielder Lee Young-pyo and striker Park Ji-sung will be the first South Koreans to play in a Champions League semi-final. This is also only the third time for a team with Asian players advance to the final four.
