From 2010, local scientists can control and utilize state-of-the-art research tools and equipment worldwide in the comfort of their offices via cyberspace.

The Science and Technology Ministry said Thursday that it will invest one hundred three billion won into an "e-science" project by 2010.

The project is intended to foster a next-generation research environment that enables remote control of distant equipment, exchanges with global researchers and application of the latest news and information.
