The national taekwondo team has pledged to win the world championships that open in Madrid, Spain, next week.

Team member Kim Yon-ji is expected to win her third consecutive championship.

There are eight weight classes for both male and female competitors. The men's team is going for its 17th straight overall title and the women's team its tenth straight.
