Three Olympic judges have reportedly been suspended for a scoring error that cost South Korean gymnast Yang Tae-young a gold medal in last year's Summer Olympics.
Germany's DPA news agency said Monday that the International Gymnastics Federation decided to discipline the three judges during its executive committee meeting on February 27th.
As a result, the three are prohibited from officiating until July of this year.
Last August, Yang filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport shortly after the federation admitted that a scoring error was made in the men's all-round gymnastics final of the Athens Olympics.
The Court, however, rejected the appeal, saying South Korea did not file it in time. This left American Paul Hamm as the gold medal winner and Yang with the bronze. The ruling is considered final and cannot be appealed.
