The blossoming of this year's first forsythia is expected around March 16th in Seogwipo city in the southern resort island of Jeju.
The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that the yellow blooms, considered harbingers of spring, will be witnessed around the 20th to the 24th of next month in the port city of Busan and other southern coastal regions of the Korean peninsula.
People in the southern inlands and Chungcheong Province will get to see the golden bells some time between March 24th to the 28th, while the capital Seoul is forecast to enjoy the yellow blossoms by March 30th.
The weather agency also predicted that two to three more cold snaps will likely arrive before mid-March, after which warm temperatures are expected to prevail over the peninsula.
The golden bell's blooming is projected at a similar timing compared to other years.
