Spring is forecast to be late in the coming this year compared to usual years.

The Korea Meteorological Administration says the cold continental high pressure front will expand its force into the next month, resulting in a few more bouts of chilliness as well as heavy snow in the inland central regions.

The weather agency, however, said that starting in April, the mercury would hover above usual yearly temperatures, while the month of May is expected to have many dry days.

The yellow dust storm from China that plagues the Korean peninsula in the spring season is also predicted to pay a delayed visit this year at the end of March. 3 to 4 storms have been forecast for the year, similar in frequency to other years.
