New President to Lead Korea Olympic Committee

The Korea Olympic Committee (KOC) has appointed its 35th president to lead the organization.

Kim Jung-kil, who heads the Korea Taekwondo Assocation, won the post through a general assembly vote on Wednesday, garnering a total 29 out of 45 votes, to defeat incumbent President Lee Yeon-taek.

Kim will begin his duties as the KOC president immediately on Thursday.
