Russian Scientists to Visit S.Korea for Space Projects

Russian scientists will visit South Korea to discuss the possibility of jointly developing a satellite and cooperating in the field of space technology.

Some eight scientists of the Russian Federal Space Agency, also known as Roscosmos, will arrive in Seoul next Tuesday for a week-long visit..

Their visit comes after President Roh Moo-hyun signed a bilateral agreement on space technology cooperation during his visit to Russia in September last year.

The scientists will visit the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and hold in-depth discussions with South Korean officials on a proposal to jointly develop a satellite.
