South Korea's Choi Eun-kyung won the women's 1,000-meter event at the fifth stop of the short track speed skating Word Cup circuit held in Budapest, Hungary.

Choi clocked a time of 1 minute 34.24 seconds at the finish line, just ahead of teammate Kang Yoon-mi and Chin Seon-yoo to win the event.

Third-place Chin had earlier won two golds in the women's 1,500 and 3,000-meter events.

The South Korean team, however, had to settle for the silver in the women's 3,000-meter silver, ousted by China's team that was led by Yang Yang A who came back from a two-year absence.
