South Korea and Japanese retired soccer stars will hold a charity match for young tsunami victims on April 5, a local foundation announced Thursday.

The foundation said the venue of the envisioned friendly match will be Suwon World Cup Stadium, and that funds raised through the charity match will be used to help children who lost family members in the recent tsunami disaster via the United Nations Children’s Fund, or UNICEF.

The list of Korea’s participating soccer legends includes Choi Soon-ho, Hwangbo Gwan, Kim Ju-seong, Park Kyung-hoon, Ha Seok-ju and Byeon Byung-joo. Japan has also selected its own list of 20 former soccer greats.

The organizer plans to hold regular friendly matches between the two countries.
