S. Korea's U-21 Football Team Beats Japan 3-0 in Qatar

South Korea's under-21 football team won the Qatar U-21 Tournament championship in Doha after beating their Japanese rivals three to zero Thursday.

Kim Seung-yong opened the scoring for South Korea in the first half, followed by two more goals by main striker Park Joo-young.

Park has been in outstanding form, scoring a total of nine goals during the tournament, despite playing as a midfielder. In Sunday's semifinal, he scored twice as South Korea beat Algeria two to one in extra time.

The Under-21 team will fly to Syria on Thursday to play a friendly match against the Syrian team.
