South Korean male and female short-track speed skaters won six medals at the 22nd Winter Universiade on Saturday, sweeping the 1,000-meter events a day before the games wrapped up in Innsbruck, Austria.

Choi Eun-kyung took gold in the women's 1,000 meters, clocking 1 minute 37.81 seconds to edge ahead of her team mate Yeo Soo-yeon by 0.156 seconds. Choi also won the 1,500-meter and 500-meter events.

South Korean athletes have clinched six out of ten short track medals.
