South Korea has garnered two gold medals in the men's and women's 500-meter short-track speed-skating events at the 22nd Winter Universiade in Innsbruck, Austria.

Choi Eun-kyung won the gold in the women's race by clocking in at 45.233 seconds, adding to her win in the 1,500-meter contest the previous day.

Song Suk-woo also took home the gold in the final of the men's 500-meter race with a time of 42.510 seconds.

Currently, South Korea ranks 5th in the overall medal tally with four gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
