South Korea's Choi Eun-kyong and Ahn Hyun-soo have garnered the gold at short track speed skating events at the 22nd Winter Universiade underway in Innsbruck, Austria.

Choi grabbed the South Korean short track skating team's first gold in the women's 1,500-meter race with a time of 2 minutes-22.249 seconds. Choi's teammate Yeo Su-yeon took the silver by a margin of 0.08 seconds, while China finished with bronze.

Meanwhile, Ahn won the gold by clocking in at 2 minutes-26.991 seconds in the men's 1,500-meter. South Korea also took the silver and bronze medals in the event.
