The Korean Dog Sledding Competition will open on Monday at the Vivaldi Park ski resort in Hongcheon, Gangwon province.
The nation's first dog sledding race will be held for two days, and the six top-scoring teams will become national champions and qualify to join the Asian Cup Games slated for March 6 in Japan.
There will be no charge for citizens to watch the exotic winter contest.
