South Korean baseball pitcher Koo Dae-sung signed a one-year contract Saturday with the U.S. major league team, New York Mets.

Koo’s agent Cho Dong-yoon said that the left-handed pitcher inked the contract in New York for an annual salary of 12.75 million dollars, including incentives.

Koo expressed his satisfaction with the contract, saying that he was happy to join a team which needs him and that the contract would be a great present for his wife on the 10th wedding anniversary.
