South Korean female boxer Kim Ju-hee has been named the best boxer of the month by the Women Boxing Archive Network (WBAN).

The WBAN said it had named Kim "the best boxer in January”because the 18-year-old became the youngest female boxer ever to become world boxing champion.

In a match held on December 19th of last year, Kim outlasted U.S. champion Melissa Shaffer on points to win the International Female Boxers Association (IFBA) flyweight title.
