Seoul will soon embark on creating a 'Taekwondo Park' in North Jeolla Province.

The central government announced plans on Thursday to spend a total of 164.4 billion won or 1.56 billion dollars by 2013 to build a park dedicated to Korea's unique martial arts in Moojoo, North Jeolla Province.

According to intial plans, a 'Taekwondo Hall of Fame', an exhibition/training hall and support facilities will be constructed on a 700,000-pyong (570 acres) plot of land, along with a global culture village, lodgings and a sports complex.
