2 Koreas, China to Hold Table Tennis Friendly Next Wk

Table tennis players from the two Koreas and China are set to play friendly matches in Beijing for two days starting next Thursday.

Executive vice president of the South Korea Business Table Tennis Federation, Lee Jae-hwa said Thursday that each country will send ten players, five men and five women, to compete in men and women's singles, doubles, mixed doubles and team events.

The South Korean team will include Ryu Seung-min, a gold medalist at this year's Athens Olympics and Joo Sae-hyuk for the men's matches, with Kim Kyung-ah and Seok Eun-mi for the women's events.

Pyongyang initially accepted the proposal but, as Lee pointed out, has yet to make a final decision. He also said officials are still discussing minor details related to the event.
