KAIST Ranks 37th in the World in Engineering, Info-Tech

The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology was ranked 37th globally in the fields of engineering and information technology.

The ranking was by Britain-based Times magazine, which recently announced the top one hundred universities in the world in the engineering and information technology fields.

It said state-run Seoul National University stood at 67th.

UC Berkeley in the United States topped the ranking followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The Indian Engineering College was ranked fourth, the highest among Asian institutions while Tokyo University in Japan was ranked seventh. National University of Singapore stood at ninth place and Beijing University in China at tenth.
