S.Korean Boxer Becomes Youngest Female World Champion

South Korean teenager Kim Ju-hee became the youngest female world boxing champion on Sunday as she defeated American champion Melissa Shaffer on points to take the International Female Boxers Association (IFBA) flyweight title.

The three judges scored 110-90, 99-91 and 100-89 in Kim’s favor.

The 18-year-old Kim is the youngest individual and teenager ever to win the title.

With the victory, Kim has garnered a total seven wins, including two knock-outs, one draw and one loss.
