Japan’s Pro-baseball Teams to Compete in Busan, Incheon Next Year

Busan and Incheon, South Korea’s two major port cities, have been determined as the venues of Japanese pro-baseball games in June next year.

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) said Thursday Jiba Lotte and Fukuoka Daiei will have a match in southeastern Busan on June 28 and in northwestern Incheon on June 29.

Fukuoka Daiei is headed by Sadaharu Oh, one of Japan’s most revered sports heroes with the nickname of “home-run king.”South Korean slugger Lee Seung-yup, who broke Oh’s home-run record, plays for Jiba Lotte.
