A golf shot made by LPGA rookie and 17-year-old South Korean golf sensation Aree Song has been selected as the "best shot of the year" by Sports Illustrated.

The magazine cited the eagle shot rolled in by Song at the 72nd Hole of this year's Kraft Nabisco Championship, from a fairway on the par-5 18th hole at Mission Hills Country Club when she trailed Grace Park by two strokes.

It praised Song for delivering on the difficult 240-yard shot over water, saying she demonstrated "all heart and determination to be a major champion."
