A group of local scientists developed an innovative way to mass-produce "carbon nano tubes(CNT)," touted as the ideal material to replace silicons in the future and a key element in nano technology.

The research team led by Park Wan-jun at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology said it developed the world's first technologyto synthesize single wall CNTs in normal temperature.

CNT is a cylinder-shaped electrical minute material, an essential component used in various next-generation nano products.
