South Korean women golfers came from behind to defeat their Japanese counterparts at the 2004 Pinx Cup-Otsu CC Korea-Japan Women’s Pro-Golf National Competition held in Japan.

The South Korean golfers, comprising LPGA luminaries such as Pak Se-ri and Kim Mi-hyun, finished with eight wins, two draws and two losses for a total 28 points to win the competition.

The highlight of the competition was a showdown between Japan's rising star, 19-year-old Miyazato Ai, and Korea's Pak Se-ri, with Pak eventually emerging victorious after a tight match.
