Ahn Shi-hyun Wins LPGA Rolex Rookie of the Year

South Korea's female golfer Ahn Shi-hyun has won the title of 2004 Rolex Rookie of the Year.
At the LPGA award ceremony held in Palmbeach, Florida on Monday, the 20-year-old Ahn was honored with the trophy given to the best-peformed player in one's first year debut.

Although she is yet to clinch a No.1 win, she made an impressive season scoring six top-10 finishes during her first pro-year in the U.S.

It is the fourth time that a Korean golfer recieved the LPGA rookie award.

To date, Ahn has amassed some 530,600 dollars and currently ranks in the top 20 on the LPGA Tour in earnings, birdies, eagles et cetera.

The Player of the Year went to Annika Sorenstam, to win the title seven times.
