S. Korea Beats Maldives 2-0 in World Cup Qualifier

South Korea's national soccer team has won a ticket to the final round of Asia's World Cup qualifiers after beating tenacious Maldives 2-0 on Wednesday.

The first goal of the match held in the Seoul World Cup Stadium came in the 21st minute of the second half from midfielder Kim Doo-hyun. Lee Dong-gook fired in South Korea's second goal 10 minutes from the match's end.

South Korea will be competing in the final round of Asia's World Cup qualifiers along with seven other countries, including Japan, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Kuwait and Bahrain.
