No. of Newborns Jumps 3.1% in Nov., Rising for 17th Straight Month

The number of newborns jumped by more than three percent in November, increasing for the 17th straight month.

According to data from the Ministry of Data and Statistics on Wednesday, 20-thousand-710 babies were born in November, up three-point-one percent from a year earlier.

The monthly tally has been on the rise since July 2025.

The total fertility rate, which is the average number of children born to a woman over her lifetime, rose zero-point-02 from the previous year to zero-point-79.

A total of 19-thousand-79 couples tied the knot in November, up two-point-seven percent, with the cumulative count between January and November expanding seven-point-five percent from a year ago.
 
The number of deaths also increased four-point-nine percent to 30-thousand-678, resulting in a natural population decline of nine-thousand-968.
