Cold Snap to Continue Wednesday; Snow Forecast for Jeolla Region, Jeju Island

Due to freezing winds blowing in from the north, a cold wave advisory is in effect Tuesday in the central, North Gyeongsang and North Jeolla regions.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the mercury is expected to dip even further Wednesday morning.

Seoul will see lows of minus 13 degrees Celsius, with temperatures between minus 17 and minus four forecast in other parts of the nation. 

Daytime highs of minus five for the capital are expected, while highs between minus six and three are forecast nationwide. 

Jeju Island and the southwestern coastal areas of the Jeolla region can expect snow starting in the early hours of Wednesday morning, with around ten centimeters expected to pile up in the Jeolla region and 25 centimeters on Jeju Island.
