Cold Snap to Grip S. Korea Starting Monday Evening

A cold snap will grip the nation starting Monday evening and persist throughout the week.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on Monday, cold wind warnings are forecast for 9 p.m. for the central region and parts of the southern regions.

The mercury will drop sharply Tuesday morning.

Morning lows across the nation will plunge by eight to 13 degrees from Monday’s lows, ranging between minus 17 and minus two degrees Celsius, with Seoul reaching minus 13 degrees.

High winds will make it feel even colder.

Morning lows will hover around minus ten degrees throughout the week.
